Hyperion OBIEE Developer - 6 months - Rockville MD Job Description: Function of the Position: This is a key position in the Business Intelligence (BI) application development team in Information Technology. The Business Intelligence Developer will be heavily involved in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management system implementation. This includes the Hyperion applications, Oracle’s BI Foundation, and the Oracle BI Analytic Applications. This involvement will span the entire spectrum of development and support activities from application design and deployment to day-to-day support of the enterprise applications users. Roles and Responsibilities: · Develop and implement Hyperion and OBIEE systems; · Translate and convert user requirements into Oracle EPM solutions of Framework designs and packages for development; · Design and develop Essbase applications, such as Hyperion planning and Hyperion FDM, including development of high and low level design documents, and implementation of the solutions; · Develop re-usable framework and components for the EPM system such as metadata mappings, webforms, FDM applications, and logical layers; · BI application Change Control Management by performing impact analysis to drive changes; · Work closely with the test teams to complete BI development activities and resolve defects, develop and unit test the Essbase databases, monitor and remediate System Integration Test and Business User Testing software issues and resolution; · Manage ownership of BI deliverables such as semantic layer designs, data integration processes, and Multidimensional databases; · Provide technical support to the user community by providing application administration of rolled-out EPM application components; · Suggest and implement development and performance improvements of complex queries. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar discipline. MBA or equivalent Master’s degree preferred. At least 5 years of analytics experience in data analysis, data warehousing, Business Intelligence, Oracle ERP, and Report development. Demonstrated involvement in at least two end-to-end deployments of a data warehousing, Business Intelligence, or Hyperion EPM solutions, preferably in an Oracle-based environment. Good understanding of at least three of the following: multi-dimensional analysis, Essbase Analytics, Predictive modeling, Hyperion Planning, budgeting, and forecasting, Hyperion FDM, Hyperion EPMA, Oracle BI Financials, supply chain, or Order Management Analytics. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training and Experience: Experience implementing Oracle Hyperion Planning, and Business Intelligence Applications. Knowledge of the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) plus Hyperion from both a functional and technical perspective. Understanding of Oracle ERP and/or CRM systems from a functional user perspective. Enterprise data warehouse experience in financials, supply chain, and sales and marketing. Advanced calculation script development/maintenance, and financial report development and automation. Hyperion product skills to include Essbase Integration Services (EIS), Essbase Studio, Web Analysis, and Financial Reporting. Hyperion System Financial Applications, Planning, Foundation Services, EPM Architect, Essbase Analytics (BSO), business rules, outline formulas, and optimization, and Enterprise Analytics (ASO). Experience with a business to business company in the manufacturing or professional publishing sector preferred.
