it's part of the default release ... the main package includes both 
bfin-uclinux and bfin-linux-uclibc

i'm not forcing anything ... the current system works for both

FDPIC ELF:
make CROSS_COMPILE=bfin-linux-uclibc-
FLAT:
LDFLAGS=-Wl,-elf2flt make CROSS_COMPILE=bfin-uclinux-
