You can also try to place this file under: /usr/share/terminfo/l/ /usr/lib/terminfo/l/ Or, better, run # strace -f -v -s1024 -o log htop then check log file for paths containing "terminfo" and "linux". This will point you to the assumed location of terminfo files.
