You *can't* have a symlink as a current directory.
It's just not possible in Linux.
So just modify santosh's question:
Why can't we use and display the same value for \w in prompt string, as
the pwd command does? IMO it should exactly do that.
... but I can't find the location in BB ash.c, where this \w is replaced
with the directory name :( ... (any hint?)
