Hi Max, This is Jay. Allahabad is an overnight train journey fron Delhi. The main attraction in Allahabad are Prayag and Ananda Bhavan. Prayag is the place Kumbh Mela is held once in 12 years.Next one is in 2012. It is the place where Ganges is joined by Yamuna and third mystical river called Saraswathi. It is holy place for hindus, who consider taking bath in Prayag, dissolves all their karmas/ sins etc. Ananda Bhavan is the house where Nehru family lived and destiny of India was decided . It is a museum now.In case you need further info , you can email me.( [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Regards Jay

I had never heard of these places but you can be sure I will be investigating them now. It will be a while before I get there but it is never too early to start finding out. Perhaps I could ask you something. I know where Allahabad is in relation to New Delhi but it is hard to estimate times and distances from maps. I'd like to go to A but is there anything of interest there? My mother was born and raised there so I have a connection, you see. Do you know anything about the city? Thank you so much!
