Subject: [ButterflyIndia] Koh-i-Noor (Amathuxidia amythaon)

nothing like starting with a bang! here's the Koh-i-Noor (Amathuxidia
amythaon), one of the most spectacular butterflies in india: very large,
dazzling blue-banded above, rare. had wanted to see this for many years. rafeek
saw it in the NE last year, this year was my turn. i saw this feeding from a
scat. it was so absorbed in it that i could go sit next to it and it wouldn't
be bothered. so i kept happily snapping away for a few minutes.. it felt
wonderful!
