Dear Yashodan,You need not worry about the pale looking Hawkmoth caterpillar. 
It is about to pupate. It is no longer hungry. Just keep in a large jar with 
some loose soil and dry leaves. and a branch slanting on the jar's inside. 
Cover the jar with a cotton kerchief with rubber band. Watch for the moth 
to emerge (usually after two weeks) When the moth  is out release it in the 
evening after photographing. Enjoy the feeling of doing this great
