Dear AllI am sad to inform you that yesterday Isaac Kehimkar, Head,Programmes,
had an accident while returning after members's programme.There was head-on
collision with a speeding bus which jumped the roaddivider and directly hit
BNHS vehicle. Both Isaac and the driver weregravely injured and had to be
rushed to the nearest hospital.Isaac had to be operated upon as he had broken
femer bone and had manybruises. Now he is
out-of-danger. The condition of the driver was moreserious but he is also
hopefully out of danger. I wanted to goyesterday itself to help Isaac and
others but as he was taken to ICU,they advised me not to come.Today morning,
along with Dr Ashok Kothari, I visited the hospital andmet Isaac and the
driver. Isaac was able to talk. His family and BNHSstaff are looking after him.
I met the driver's brother and promisedhim that we will look after all medical
expenses as the driver was onBNHS duty.A FIR has been lodged against the bus
driver - he is in policecustody. I am sending Admin Officer Mr Mathews along
with some otherstaff to see that the FIR is properly worded. We have also
contactedthe insurance company for site inspection. We have taken many
picturesof the smashed vehicle which can be produced for record.If any member

wantto be here to see the developing situation for the next few days.Yesterday
