Awantika,
What is your budget.?which city  do you live in.? Many of us in this  group
began photographing butterflies with simple compact cameras and then graduated
to slrs.
Also asked  about your residential details because  somebody from that city
can possibly assist you with your purchase.
if you live in mumbai, i  could help you or  you could visit the canon lounge
at Atria mall  in worli,  this is a  huge place with  most of the  canon
equipment  latest slrs, lenses, flashes   compact cameras, bridge cameras and
printers.
They do not sell any camera or lenses  here but  you can test the slr or
compact camera which you plan to buy in the future. the staff too gives you
good advice  They also have workshops for beginners  and amateurs. It is open
from 12 pm to 9 pm.
I think this  lounge  is  a great concept . Wish nikon too  had something on
the same lines
