I have reared Chocolate albatatross under 14 days from egg to butterfly and small leopard under 13 days from egg to butterfly the longest? it could be anything as some pupa continues to be in dormant stage for weeks! generally pierids have the shortest lifecycle period then the nymphalids and swallowtails hesperids has long lifecycle periods lycaenids vary a lot lineblues ceruleans and pierrots have short periods but oakblues and royals has longer periods in almost every cases I have met with, the egg hatched before 6 days!!
