Hi!

In my Kerala trip last month I encountered the Chocolate Pansy many a times.
They were every where in abundance. These were in fact not allowing any other
butterflies to settle down. We see this territorial behavior in pansy's and
really speaking cause a lot of trouble to butterfly photographers. I missed
many first timer species for me only due to this behavior of Chocolate pansy.
However I don't regret for that since there will be many more chances. Let this
species learn to tolerate other species...

Regards,

Ashok

No, Arjan, there is a lot of seasonal variation. There is also some regional
variation, but it is small compared to the seasonal variation.
