Dear Subramanyam,
Yes, it is the Painted Courtesan (female) . As such the Courtesan does not have 
the red basal markings on UNH.  See my book for more details. Good record. 
Getting such rarely seen  species is truly a memorable experience.Cheers!Isaac

      Courtesan (Euripus nyctelius)
This was shot on 19-12-2010 near Maredumilli 11.45AM on a riverbed while 
puddling on a trip to Maredumilli along with my friend D V Ramana. Under 
wing photo shot by him.
I think this was not recorded during the Butterflyindia Meet-EG -2007
