Wing patterns and coloration sometimes vary considerably in some butterfly 
species. Individual variation was recently discussed on this group in 
connection with the variation in underside coloration of the Sahyadri Blue 
Oakleaf (Kallima horsfieldi, what others have called “Southern Blue Oakleaf”):
