Hi,
This has probably been discussed in great length earlier (I don't know,
I'm a newcomer to the group), but we could use the behavioral aspects of the
subject as 'Theme of the Month topics'- for eg: Migration, mudpuddling etc.
'Batesian mimicry' would also be quite interesting, where each contributor
provides two photos for comparison.
These are probably the "conventional, orthodox" themes. From another
perspective, we could have a theme aiding the identification of some of the
more "challenging" species. Edited photos in which the crucial features are
pointed out would be truly invaluable for the novice. In this way, several
photos can be compared as well.
Another topic that would be of great interest to most butterfly enthusiasts
is "Rare, endangered and Data deficient species". I'm sure many
ButterflyIndia members have great photos of the same, and the conservation
value would be immense.
Just expressing a few of my thoughts........
Thanks,
Pranav
