Three specimens known from Delhi. Breeding status uncertain. Try and catch a
female and get her to lay eggs on pansy (wild larval host plant is violet
(Viola sp.)). Try and breed the larvae on violets and see whether this is a
Delhi resident or a migrant... good luck.

Hi all,
Indian Fritillary, Mayur Vihar , Delhi.
I got this one from our colony's garden in east Delhi.
Seen and captured on photo this winter visitor to Delhi from Himalayas.
Not sure about it's status here. Referred the checklist on Delhi Butterflies by
Torben B. Larsen, status for this butterfly is listed rare in this list.
Anyone form Delhi has any information to share about this species?
Thanks,
