Hi Krushnamegh,
Thanks a tonne for the identifications. This is only the second time since 2008
that I came across a (probable) Conjoined Swift. I wonder how common they are
in Mumbai.

Aniruddha, the first skipper is Chestnut Bob (Iambrix salsala):

It is difficult to be absolutely sure about the second one without seeing
spotting pattern on the upper side, but I bet it is the Conjoined Swift
(Pelopidas conjuncta):

Cheers,

Krushnamegh.

Subject: [ButterflyIndia] Two Skippers from Nagla 11 June

Hi all,

Visited Nagla Block today. The sightings weren't as good as expected, thanks to
the rain, but saw at least four species of Hesperiids. Three unidentified and
one Golden Angle.

I'm attaching images of two Skippers that I had the opportunity to photograph.
Unfortunately, no image of the upper side of the wings, hence any guesses about
their identity is much appreciated.

Photo info:

Pic name: Skipper 1

Species name: ID requested

Wingspan: around 20mm

Loc: Nagla Block

Photographer: Aniruddha Dhamorikar

Remarks: Rather small skipper, wings not damaged, but seems to have lost its
scales.

Pic name: Skipper 2

Sp. name: ID requested

Wingspan: around 25mm

Loc: Nagla Block

Photographer: self

Remarks: Rather large Skipper

Regards,

Aniruddha
