Looks like Lilacine Bushbrown (Mycalesis francisca). Gaurav and Rohan, I have given you pictures of quite a few Mycalesis and Heteropsis species, including M. francisca. Can you please process them on a priority basis so that we can upload them on the website? Then Dr. Amit and others can compare their pictures with ours to check their species.
Cheers, Krushnamegh. ________________________________ From: Dr Amit Thadhani <[email protected]> Reply-To: butterflyindia <[email protected]> Date: Sat, 25 Jun 2011 09:56:07 -0400 To: butterflyindia <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [ButterflyIndia] Common Faun i too clicked this photograph of what may be a large faun, or a common faun. its size was large. a confirmation on this ID is required. place: dhirang, arunachal pradesh regards Dr Amit Thadhani MS, FMAS General & Minimal Access Surgeon Fellow & Founder Member, AMASI Director, Niramaya Hospitals, Mumbai Director, Niramaya Holistic Health Services P Ltd, Mumbai Trustee, Mohini Charitable Trust Spl Interest: Laparoscopic surgery SILS Gastrointestinal Endoscopy ________________________________ From: Vidya Venkatesh <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, 24 June, 2011 12:50:00 PM Subject: [ButterflyIndia] Common Faun Hi, Clicked this butterfly during my last visit to Assam in April 2011.
