Hi all, The response to my last major email about the website has been quite overwhelming. We have been flooded with pictures: I have uploaded over a thousand photos and created another 73 species pages in the two weeks since that email. See the latest additions at:
http://ifoundbutterflies.org/species-pages/history-of-species-pages-on-butterflies-of-india-website http://ifoundbutterflies.org/species-pages/history-of-lifecycle-pages-on-butterflies-of-india-website My personal favorites are pictures of the West Himalayan species that Sanjay Sondhi has contributed, Hemant Ogale’s early stages of nearly a dozen species, Subramanyam Kalluri, Rohit Girotra, Haneesh KM and Satyendra Kumar Tiwari’s dozens of images from Andhra, Bengaluru and Chakrata, and an assortment of pictures that Animish Mandrekar, Parag Rangnekar, VC Balakrishnan, Sahil Latheef and Kuschel Gurung have contributed, among them the Khaki Silverline (Spindasis rukmini), Shiva Sunbeam (Curetis siva), Spotted Royal (Tajuria maculata) and Northern Junglequeen (Stichophthalma camadeva). Processing all these images was a lot of work, thanks mainly to Rohan Lovalekar and Gaurav Agavekar for processing images contributed by others and to some of the above contributors who formatted their own images. Please remind me if I have forgotten to mention any others. More material is lined up for next weekend, and you are all always urged to contribute to this growing reference photo collection. With best wishes, Krushnamegh. ------------------------------------------------- Krushnamegh Kunte, PhD Post-doctoral Research Fellow FAS Center for Systems Biology Harvard University 52 Oxford St., Northwest Lab Room 458.40-3 Cambridge, MA 02138, USA.
