Dear Krishna Mohan,
the image you had posted in the mail is of Celaenorrhinus ruficornis 
(Dusky/Tamil spotted flat.C.putra is a very diferrent insect and is not a 
southindian species.Bengal,Sikkim and Assam are the nearest they occur to South 
India.

    Nice to see both giants fighting over my photo. ;-) To make it
    easier for you to ID I thought I'll post one more shot of the same
    butterfly. Unfortunately that day I was with 70-200 lens which
    lacked macro. This was the minimum I could get the shot.
