Chittaranjan, this is a Purple Leaf Blue (Amblypodia anita): http://ifoundbutterflies.org/361-amblypodia/amblypodia-anita
This species is quite variable on the underside, your picture shows one of the common variations of this species. The Travancore Evening Brown is larger and looks quite different. You can see its pictures at: http://ifoundbutterflies.org/428-parantirrhoea/parantirrhoea-marshalli BTW, we will be interested in covering greater variation in the undersides of the Purple Leaf Blue on the Butterflies of India website. We will be very glad if ButterflyIndia members can contribute high quality images to the website. Contact me at <[email protected]> with the pictures and relevant details if you are interested.
