The Conservation Education Centre is happy to announce the "Green Guides
Training Programme" on 8-9 & 15-16 October 2011. Given below are the details
of the same.

*Green Guides Training Programme*
*(8-9 & 15-16 October 2011)*

Do you have passion for working outdoors? Would you like to help us with our
programmes by being “Green Guides of CEC”? If your answer to these is yes,
please sign up for our unique training programme. Every year we train bunch
of nature enthusiasts to work with us. Till now more than 300 individuals
have been trained of which are more than 50 committed Green Guides are
currently working with us. The 4- day (two weekends) module include broad
subjects like natural history, environment education and nature
conservation. We use hands on training and participatory learning approaches
followed by a job handling phase known as “Shadowing”. The participants
learn about nature walks, slide shows, project works, education material
development, communication skills, programme planning, budgetary
preparation, crisis management and much more. Participants are enrolled on
payroll of green guides on successful completion of ‘Shadowing Phase’.

*PROGRAMME DETAILS*

*Venue*: Conservation Education Centre, Mumbai

*Time*: 9:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.

*Dates*: First Module: 8-9 October 2011,  Second Module: 15-16 October 2011
(Attending both the modules is compulsory)

*Group size*: 30

*Programme Fee*: Rs. 3990/-per person (Fee inclusive of two resource
manuals: In Harmony with Nature and Green Guide, food and refreshment,
certificate and mentoring during shadowing phase). Please draw cheque
favouring “Bombay Natural History Society”. Programme details will be
available on registration.
