Dear Haneesh ji,
Many thanks for the info.
We brought seeds of this plant from Bharatpur and now its one of the most
invasive weed in the garden.
We were using it as nectar plant without realising its other uses as host plant.

Subject: [ButterflyIndia] egg laying of Peacock Pansy

hi all,

i could watch the egg laying pattern of peacock pansy (junonia almana) last day.
the female was laying egg every where near the host plant
on ground, near by plants, dry twigs, flowers of neighbouring plants
the actual host plant there was popping pod (ruellia tuberosa)
some shots i could manage is posting here.

i observed similar behaviour for chocolate and yellow pansies.

cheers
haneesh
