Shyam, yes, males of some moths have feathery antennae, while females have less 
feathery ones or plain ones. the moth in your photo is Nyctemera adversata, a 
common moth over much of India.

      Would have been very happy to receive some inputs on this.One of these 
mating moths has the feathery antenna and the other one has a hairy antenna.Saw 
this day flying moth often in that location (Kakragadh, Uttarakhand, 3000 ft) 
and could have photographed it again, but noticed the difference only on
