My neighbour delivered a cat which he had found on his scooter. It was
identified as Tailed Jay cat and I kept it for rearing.

The cat was kept inside a milky white plastic bottle into which it went into
pupation. It did not pupate on twigs provided but instead climbed to the lid
using a twig and formed the pupa on the inside of the lid.
This pupa is nearly milky-white in color - matching the color of the bottle.
All pictures i have seen of the Tailed Jay pupa, when they are formed on wet
leaves, show the pupa to be green colored to match the color of the leaf.

Is this some kind of adaption? Or is it a normal color?
