Subject: [ButterflyIndia] The life history of Burara gomata the Pale green
awlet

Dear Friends,
Happy to share with you the life history of Burara gomata from Western
Ghats.Only very few records from Western Ghats after T.R.Bell. couple of
sightings from Northern Western ghats, few from Coorg and only two as far as
known from Kerala. The species was first photographed in Kerala by
E.Kunhikrishnan in Periyar Tiger Reserve. My records are from Ponmudi hills
in Trivandrum,Aaralam in Kannur and Kalakkad in Tamilnadu...
This species may be more nocturnal in habits rather than crepuscular..waited
for 10 long years for this beauty!...enjoy!
