A close friend (and new ham) of mine has been treated
for Multiple Myeloma for the last five years and is doing
very well. There have been advances in chemotherapy
for MM which are actually significantly slowing the
progress of the disease. Compared to 10 to 20 years
ago, this disease is now being effectively treated. I lost
two fiends to MM back then, but now there is real hope!
