I remember that day as I was living less than 100 miles away. It got dark as night about noon, but the clouds had cleared off in the early evening so that you could watch the sun set. We lost power at my parent's place for 24 hours and the neighbor was about to pump the water out of our basement like he'd pumped the water out of his when the power came back on and the sump pump started running.

Then, in 1980, I had band camp at Xenia, and there were a notable variety of nearly new buildings all throughout the area.

It’s amazing that Xenia is still there. I was there in 1975 and there wasn’t much left. April 3, 1974 a Tornado torn that town up.

Actually!
