Just a reminder for those who want to work the 10-10 contest this weekend.
Here are some helpful pieces of information.

1. The contest starts on Friday evening at 6 pm our time and ends at 6
pm on Sunday.

2. The Frequency for the contest is between 28.300 and 28.500 MHz.

3. The mode is SSB

4. Contest logging programs frequently used are N3FJP and N1MM. Let us
know if you need help in setting these up.

5. If you do not have an antenna, try and put up a dipole as high as
you can. Refer to the web sites for dimension of the dipole. Or, ask our
antenna Guru W5RH

6. We will have a special local area gathering of hams on the air on
Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm on 28.488 MHz. Check in and make some
local contacts for your log.

7. Propagation may be spotty. The best time to make contacts will be
from 10 am to 6 pm. Look at DXMaps program to see if there are any contacts
happening in real time. But, please get on and call CQ or scan for people
calling CQ.

8. Finally, please remember that XZ has challenged the BVARC members
to match his total number of QSOs.

Good Luck and 73,

Nizar K0NM
