Band conditions were barely fair, but I increased my score from last year by 33%. A few great runs here and there. However, I was not able to stay awake for the full 24 hours...I guess that's what happens when you get older. Maybe next year I'll work out and get in better shape (sure!) and get more sleep before the contest. Hardware and software worked flawlessly again, and this time I didn't make any big mistakes...other than probably S&P too much, especially early Saturday evening due to the lightning noise. Luckily it lessened later and I was able to run on both 40 and 80. Thanks to everyone who worked me, especially the locals. Thanks BIG TIME to my wife, who not only let me steal away for 24 hours, but also made me a nice lunch and cookies for after the contest! (BTW, congrats to fellow contesters K5GN, K0NM, WG5H, K5TU and W5FMH (KJ5Y, MM0LID and maybe more) for the excellent efforts they put in!)
