I participate in both clubs, and this is for everyone, not just KARS
which is why I didn't place a club name on it. Trying to keep it low
touch where it takes care of itself and doesn't need someone stuck
'running things'. It has been mentioned/discussed at BVARC board
meetings as well as at least one BVARC general meeting.
The location is where KARS has been meeting for breakfast for about 4
years. The food is good, the parking lot is big. Being an industrial
park, pretty much everything else is closed on Saturday so there isn't
much traffic to deal with.
Hopefully it takes off and becomes a regular thing. If it does, it does,
if it doesn't, it doesn't. Will try it for a few months and see what
happens

*Thanks, Rick. I reviewed his original message and saw nothing about
KARS posted in it. Although, I was thinking to myself, that would be a
perfect place for that club to meet. When he said "we" I took it to
mean BVARC. Of course, that parking lot in Stafford worked great for
our club. Perhaps look at that location for us again in the future.
Thanks,

As I understand it, it is a function of KARS -- Katy Amateur Radio
Society, not BVARC, so the location for KARS is relevant. BVARC
reflector listing by Jimmy was a courtesy and a marketing move.

* It seems like northeast Fort Bend County works best for the
majority of folks. Your location is in far west Harris County,
which may not be so accessible to the majority of members. A
discussion on where to have it would probably have been better
for attendance, rather than just naming a place in the far
western area, that may be out of reach for many. Of course, it is
very close to me.

I hadn't really thought about moving it around. While on the
face this may sound good, in theory I think having it at the
same location would make it easier on everyone. But this topic
can be left open for more discussion

Jimmy. Good idea. Can the club consider moving it around west
south and north in ft bend county ?
I think we can easily get permission for the movie theater
parking lot by the mall in the far corner by the mall sometime
