Probably won't be until next week, but, yes, I could use the help. Plan of attack: - Determine what we need for a student system. Necessary items: CPU, CD-ROM, keyboard, mouse, monitor, modem, sound card, speakers, speaker cables, monitor cables, CPU power cord, monitor power cord. Anything else? - Mark the obviously non-working, non-sellable, non-FreeSellable items for recycling. - Mark the obviously non-sellable items for FreeSelling. - Count and label stuff: for each of the necessary items, how many do we have? During the counting process, label each item as being counted. That way we can segregate the old from new stuff. - Determine how much we need: What's our average outgoing rate for systems? I'm guessing about 90/year (10 systems/session, 6 weekends/ session, 52 weekends/year). What's our average incoming rate for systems? I'm guessing about the same. So, we really only need about 30-40 systems to give ourselves a 3-4 month buffer. Thoughts? - Triage the stuff: for each of the necessary items, test and label. Keep the top 30-40 necessary pieces. - Sell, free sale, or recycle what we don't need. Thoughts? Who'd like to help out? WITS will be open on Sunday, July 24th from 10a-4p. So, I'm thinking of hammering out the first two items by Saturday night and load the truck on Sunday to bring to WITS. Then do the rest on Monday, Tuesday (after 9pm), and Wednesday nights.
