Thanks. Apologies for the duplicate; it had not turned up when I searched the
issue tracker for "_xercesc_messages_3_2_dat".
I've filed this MacPorts ticket advising everyone who maintains a port
depending on xercesc3 to try to find a way to remove that dependency:

Can the ICU build be added to your CI?
Can the code be changed so that the correct symbol version is inserted
automatically at build time rather than being hardcoded?
