I will ask you a question instead of answering.... What would you have done if you wanted to distinguish a function from other functions that does the initialing? You would come up with some special feature which will tell you that the function is initializer function. Same way "Bjarne Stroustrop" came up with this idea. There is no very technical explanation for this.
