If you are referring to Turbo C++, yes, it is DOS based and should not
be used. If you are using any modern version of Windows (Windows 2K,
Windows XP, Vista), you should use Visual C++ Express 2008, which is
free, or Dev-C++/wxDev-C++, which is also free. Both can do
console/text-based applications as well as full GUI applications.
