This is the first I've heard of it.  The question I see people asking 
is, "Do we really need another programming language?"

C++ and PHP are the two languages I have settled on.  There is always 
room for improvement in those two domains.  Google should focus its 
efforts on those two languages if they are interested in doing something 
useful.
