What is making you switch languages? OpenGL seems to be a part of the
reason. A lot of developers, when switching languages, tend to want to
back-integrate into the environment they are comfortable with (i.e.
write a DLL that can be accessed from Eiffel in your case) instead of
diving exclusively into the language they aren't comfortable with.
Pretty rare to find someone willing to just leap into new territory.

Personally, I've settled on C++ (client) and PHP (web and scripting).
Mostly PHP at the moment and trying to finish off a major project.
