I was using the Xerces lib distributed with the "binary" package. To 
compile it from the source with the option 'treat wchar_t as a build-in 
type', like you have suggested in 2), has corrected my link edition 
errors... Thank you *so much* ! You can't imagine how you helped me !

Check two things:
1) Is the Xerces lib directory in the LIB path?
2) Did you build Xerces with the setting 'Treat 
wchar_t as a built-in type' set to TRUE?
