It's not a problem of readonly view. We cannot navigate to different month and date with a calendar view in dashboard.
The dashboard should allow us to navigate on different date. It nearly works in that you can create and edit items, but you can't navigate to different months or drag+drop items. It would be cool if the calendar view was fully functional on a dashboard since then you could see and use calendar entries and a list of tasks on the same screen.
