It may be working with 6.0 which has not been released yet, but my original request was regarding 5.x which most people are using in production. Has this been fixed for 5.x then?

Unfortunately, the thunderbird plugin doesn't work with the 3.x branch. The plugin can connect to openerp-server 5.x, but that's it. The form is no working properly and it makes the plugin totally useless.
