I have checked the issue with the latest server revision - 2994, web-
client - 3837, addons - 1675 but there seems no error at my end.
Would you please recheck and notify us?

Bug description:
Web Client - trunk version: 3837 and before
If I'm the sales module choosing Adress Book -> Customers -> Choosing a
customer from the search view -> Edit
When I try to assign a category I can select it from the Pop-Up. After closing
of the Pop-Up the selcted category is shown in the categories list, but after
saving the category is left.
