OpenERP 6 RC1 seems to handle this correctly, i.e.: 1. Go to Administration -> Translation -> Application Terms -> Languages. 2. Create a language, e.g. en_AU 3. Set the date format, e.g. %d/%m/%y 4. Set the Language for your User Preferences to the new language. 5. Restart your client.

In the Windows Control Panel > Regional, the French Switzerland region is chosen, with a date format 28.01.2010. But in Openerp: . The menu language shown is French . the date format is American (01/11/2010 for Jan 11) In the Web interface the language is English (correct), but dates are American.
