[6.1/trunk] CSS issue: left menu invading central area

Bug description:
Hello,
if you have a long name in he left menu, it can invade the central area.
Instead we expect to have an horizontal scrollbar in the lef menu or even
better: we could have the full text appearing (on the central area too) only
when the mouse is over the left menu.
See the attached screenshot, here with the Brazilian localization.
