Hello Ferdinand and Anders , I have again checked this issue but Thunderbird plugin of latest stable-6 are working fine with thunderbird 8.0.
Only Trunk version's thunderbird plugin are not compatible with thunderbird 8.0, and we have improving this on Trunk and will be compatible as soon as possible. So for trunk version I am considering this as a "Improvement" and setting it as a "Wishlist".
