Status in OpenERP Addons (modules): New Bug description: Configuring OpenERP to send email via SMTP. From Tools -> Configuration -> Email Template -> Email Accounts Required information is all provided: Server - company SMTP server, and works with Outlook based clients SMTP Port - 587 TLS - checked SSL/TLS (only in python 2.6) - unchecked auto delete - unchecked From email - email address we want information to appear "from" user name - corporate user name to access the SMTP server password - password for the user name Related user - Administrator Corporate - Yes (which also begs the question, if corporate, and not tied to a user, why is the user required?) Mail format - HTML, otherwise Text After entering requested information, clicking the "Test Outgoing Connection" generates the following in a pop-up window: WARNING No explanation of the error provided, no error indicated in openerp- server.log If a WARNING is generated, there should be an explanation.
