For those who don't know, Jordi is not now resident in Andorra so can be
forgiven for having missed it.

Indeed.

Use what you wish from the report below.

The Andorra Fair is held annually in October for 3 days - Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free. This year's was the 22nd Fair. It
is housed in a very large marquee which covers the whole of the central
car park (adjacent to the main French post office). Approaching it from
the post office, the exit is more easily found than the entrance.
Follow the river southwards and then take the path between the main
marquee and a smaller one housing produce exhibits. The entrance is
from the Central Park (av. Tarragona). It is open from 11am to 9pm
daily. For those arriving by car the Prat del Creu multi-storey car
park is reasonably near. The path beside the Orri bar takes you
directly to the entrance of the marquee.

There are well over 100 stands representing government, associations and
voluntary bodies, commerce of all kinds and the sale and promotion of
local produce. There is a particularly wide variety of hams, sausages
and cheeses. Predictably the largest crowds gather around the stands of
the ski stations selling reduced price ski passes. For those in need of
refreshment there is a restaurant and bar. Toilets are available
including facilities for the disabled. The largest individual section
of the fair is for the motor trade - a mini Motor Show which occupies
about half of the main marquee. All major manufacturers are represented
(22 stands). The showpiece car on the BMW stand was marked "sold" so
somebody in Andorra is not short of a few pesetas! No animals or
agricultural gear these days but plenty of produce to tempt you.
Surprisingly, I did not notice any promotion for Andorran beef - an
industry which is trying to re-establish itself. For those who want to
try it, it can be found in the Pyrenees store (food hall on the 2nd
floor) and doubtless elsewhere.

If there is sufficient interest, I could put the list of stands and the
site plan on my web space - assuming that the Comu of Andorra la Vella
would not raise any copyright objections to a bit of free publicity. ;-)
