Progress against goals from last week:
- Code review has been sent out however we haven't received any
comments yet.
- Evan to get with Jerry off-line to talk about specific areas
to look at.
- Joe is looking at the code
- Ethan, Tim and Evan to look at each others code.
- Comments have been sent for both the test plan and test assertions.
- Please resend any comments to Jason as it appears that some of
these emails didn't get to him.
- Evan to ping Mary for comments on Jason's test plan and
assertions.
- Testing is not yet complete. We've been through the test assertions
completely once. We're in the process of final testing.
- We need to have Jason grab the packages again as it appears
he doesn't have the latest versions. Evan is rebuilding
to make sure that the packages in the workspace are current.
- We've been unable to test pkg image-update completely because we
are dependent on build 98 and build 99 has not been available.
- This is still a problem and is now a risk for our delivery.
Since build 99 will not be ready before code freeze it is
likely that we will have to push without having tested with
pkg image-update.
- We need to be ready to push asap but need to finish the code review
and testing.
- Evan to ask Sundar about Jan and William's possible availability
for doing code reviews.
- Evan to ask Jean, Karen and Jack if they can look at specific
pieces.
Schedule
- We're behind a bit because of testing and code review. We may need
to ask for help from specific people. Tim will contact Dan t
- We MUST push by Friday...
Documentation
- What is still needed?
- Man page is done, docs still needs some comments from us on
the rest if the documents. However this can wait until after
we push.
Testing
- We need another regression test run
- Jason is running this. He ran this last night however it
appears that he doesn't have the most resent bits because
some of the problems seen have either already been fixed
or are not reproducible.
- Evan will be talking to Jason tonight to make sure that
Jason has what he needs.
- We need to run through the test assertions again
- Jason started on this and should be finished by Wednesday.
- We need to make sure of the schedule for getting test development
done after 10/13.
- Evan will add this to the schedule after the 13th.
Bugs
- 1197 - out for code review
- 3654 - out for code review
- 2880 - name changes from the other package resolved the current
issue so we've lowered there priority.
- 3608 - may not be able to get it done by Friday.
Development bugs
- All current development bugs have been addressed.
- Jason added 3732,3733,3734. These are currently being looked at
but are lower priority bugs so if they don't make it by Friday
it's not a big issue.
Goals this week

Other?
- What do we need to do in IPS to deal with our packaging changes.
This relates to the changes we've made to SUNWinstall-libs as well
as the addition of SUNWbeadm.
- Ethan is asking Danek and Stephen about this.
- Tim is asking David Comay about this.
- RISK. because of the build 99 issues and the fact that it has not
been available we have not bee able to do any testing for "pkg
image-update". This is because we are dependent on build 98 for
the zones functionality. It is likely that we will have to push
without having tested with image update.
- Dan did not work on the ipkg changes for zones last week due to
other issues. He's working on them this week but there is a chance
he may not have them done by the 10th. He's leaving on vacation
on the 13th so it's not known when the zones changes will be
available.
- Tim had been attempting to build iso images that included our
changes but ran into issues. The first image didn't have all the
package dependencies correct so zones wouldn't install. The
second attempt ended up with some build 99 packages in it which
caused it to fail to install. Ginnie is looking at the build 99
package issues and Tim will be talking to Danek about the packaging
issues for zones.
Vacations/travel/etc. ?
Dan Price will be out on vacation 10/13 to (unknown but hopefully 10/17).
