I installed from a test iso today and saw the new progress messages during the 
installation phase.
I think the appropriateness of some is debatable. Once the target instantiation 
bit was done and the transfer phase began, the messages I saw were as follows:

1. "Building cpio file lists"
2. "Transferring LiveCD Contents"
3. "Fixing zero-length files"
4. "Extracting archives"
5. "Cleaning up"

1 and 3 definitely seem unsuitable to me. There is too much implementation 
specific
information that indicates how rather than what is being done, at least to my 
mind.
These messages should not be treated like a debug log.

Thoughts?
