Hi Joe,

My understanding of yesterday's discussion on version compatibility is 
that 1:1 version match is the
SUPPORTED route.  If versions don't match, the install would be allowed 
to continue.  However,
there's no guarantee on the resulting installation being correct or 
not.  In situations where the versions
do not match, we will print errors/warnings and also put messages in log 
files.  Furthermore, we are
considering a new field in the manifest so users can explicitly disallow 
installations to proceed if
there's not a 1:1 match.
