Ah. That could explain why the /var/sadm/install dir had a .pkg.lock,
.pkg.lock.client and .door files which "magically" appeared in my live
CD image and were dated at reboot time. So, I think this service
already comes enabled as I did nothing explicit to enable it myself.
(BTW, pkgadd worked.)
