AI using default manifest does not create/delete any partitions. It will use the existing Solaris fdisk partition if there is one. Otherwise the install will fail.
You need to create a custom manifest that instructs AI to delete the EXTLBA partition and create a Solaris partition for the whole disk. There are examples available in the AI document in chapter 6 at http://dlc.sun.com/osol/docs/content/dev/AIinstall/customai.html Thanks, Sundar > > I'll also read this doc at the link you sent me. > > Thanks > > Bruce > > On Oct 1, 2009, at 3:04 PM, Sundar Yamunachari wrote: > >> Bruce Rothermal wrote: >>> forgot to attach image in first email >>> >>> Hello All >>> >>> Does anybody know of a workaround or fix for ai install failure due to >>> disk not being proper solaris partition. >> How is your disk(s) currently partitioned?
